After a late autumn snow storm the leaves were falling in earnest. Perhaps the colder temperatures signaled them to let go of their lofty perches? These three leaves landed in the snow at different times and the sun warmed them and melted the underlying snow to different depths. Santa Fe Ski Basin, New Mexico.
