This site is intended for display on monitors with a
minimum resolution of 1024 x 768, 32-bit color, and is best viewed
with browsers that support Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). To help preserve
page formatting, optimum browser font size setting is "medium"
or "100%." JavaScript is used sparingly throughout the site
for mouse-over effects and smooth-transitioning slide shows. To view
this site as the authors have intended, be sure to disable any custom
style sheets you may be using and it is highly recommended that you
have JavaScript enabled in your browser. This website was designed
to take advantage of the nice transitions and blending of pages and
colors offered by Internet Explorer (by employing CSS filters). Although
you can still browse this site in Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox, and
Opera, you will miss out on some of the design elements we use that
are currently specific to Internet Explorer.
To view our photographs with the propoer amount of contrast
and brightness, adjust your monitor's contrast to 100% and then adjust
the brightness until you can see each individual section of the bar
below (there are 20 distinct shades of grey in the bar). By doing this,
you will be able to view our photographs with optimal contrast and brightness.

The
photographs on this website were optimized for viewing on a PC-based
system. If you are viewing this site on a Mac, the images may appear
lighter than intended due to the different default gamma settings inherent
in the two systems. Ambient lighting can also affect the way the images
appear on your monitor. Bright sunlight, tungsten lights, fluorescent
lights, and dim light will all cause the images to appear slightly differently.
When working on and optimizing our images, we use fluorescent room lighting
with a color tempature of 6500K which is roughly similar to sunlight.
The images on this website were optimized in the sRBG color space so
as to have the greatest uniformity on a wide range of monitors.
Due to all of these variables, preparing images for display
on the world wide web is full of trade-offs and compromises. We have
done our best to accomodate these variables and we hope you enjoy your
visit and that our images are colorful and vibrant on your display.
If you like what you see on your monitor, we can assure you that our
prints will look far more impressive! If your monitor displays washed
out images or strange colors, we suggest you upgrade your monitor!
Thank you for visiting Raven Mountain Images!
