Fine Art Prints

We are proud to offer you the highest quality photographic prints available today. If you like what you see on your computer display, you will LOVE our prints! Our prints have amazing detail, beautiful colors, and are much more captivating than what you see on your computer screen. While viewing photographs on a computer is fun and easy, photos on the web just cannot compare to the beauty of a quality fine art print. We offer several types of prints to fit your décor and personal style. From traditional prints on fine art paper, to canvas gallery wraps, to stunning metal prints, to laminated prints—we are sure you will find one that “fits”. To order prints, simply find the photo you like in our galleries (or use the search page) and select the print size and style you want from the list below the photograph. We are confident that you will love your new prints and we offer a no questions asked money back guarantee. For businesses and corporations, we offer a bulk purchase discount.

Prints on Fine Art Paper

Our traditional prints are printed on heavy-weight fine art papers such as Crane Museo Silver Rag or Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk Baryta papers, depending on availability. These are heavyweight semi-gloss papers that are optimized for pigment inks. We use the Epson K3 Ultrachrome inks (with “Photo Black”) which produce beautiful, vibrant color and black & white prints. Fine art papers are manufactured to archival standards and the prints are very stable (when displayed properly) and have an estimated permanence rating of greater than 100 years for color and greater than 200 years for black & white making them truly archival. Our prints have a 1” white border and are hand signed by the artist. These are not your standard flimsy photo prints! These are hefty, rich, beautiful fine art prints!

A Note on Framing Your Prints:  There are multitudes of options when it comes to matte and frame styles and colors. We feel that you should have your print matted and framed the way you want it and not be limited by the small number of options that we could offer. Because of this, and issues with shipping frames with glass, we do not offer traditional mounting, matting, and framing services. If you purchase a print, we recommend that you have it professionally and archivally framed as soon as possible. This will protect your print, enhance its longevity, and your choice of matte and frame styles and colors will really show it off!

Canvas Gallery Wraps

Our canvas prints are an exciting alternative to traditionally matted and framed paper prints. Gallery wraps are designed to be “ready to hang” with no framing necessary. We use Luna Artist Canvas because of its excellent color accuracy and coat it with PremierArtTM Eco Print Shield, the only print coating tested and rated by Wilhelm Imaging Research to increase display life. Canvas print permanence is rated at greater than 100 years with the PremierArtTM Eco Print Shield coating. Then we stretch it around premium 1.5" deep stretcher bars, and attach it using stainless steel staples, and add wire for hanging. Coated canvases won't crack when stretching, are abrasion resistant, and can be cleaned with a dust cloth.

For the great majority of our images, the image is wrapped around the sides of the stretcher bars for a sleek and professional look. For a few images, where the subject is close to the edge of the frame, the wrapped sides will either be a mirror image of the photo to give the illusion of a continuous image on the sides of the wrap, or we will use a solid color (usually black) to finish off the sides. Canvas gallery wraps should be displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Canvas prints have the artist's signature inlaid digitally on the front usually in the bottom right or left of the print.

Metal Prints

We are very pleased to be able to offer our images on stunning metal prints! Metal prints, also called AluminArteTM are high definition, photographic prints on aluminum using a unique imaging technology. We use a white aluminum with a high gloss coating to produce a print with a depth and level of detail similar to what you would see on HDTV! The reflective properties of the aluminum create deep rich blacks and highly saturated colors, with an unmatched depth of field. AluminArteTM metal prints give an added dimensionality to our images. These prints are clear, crisp, bright, vivid, and almost life-like! The metal prints are easy to clean, ready to hang, and built to last. Print permanence is rated at about 50 years. Metal prints should be cleaned with a microfiber towel for the best results along with isopropyl alcohol or Maguiar’s Cleaner Wax.

Metal prints are available in a “Box Mount” or “Float Mount”. In both cases your metal print is attached to a black anodized aluminum frame 1 3/8” thick. With the Box Mount your print is mounted flush with the frame to give it a box-like appearance. With the “Float Mount” the black frame is recessed 3” on all sides so your print appears to be floating in front of the wall. In both cases your print is 1 ½” from the wall. Metal prints should be displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Metal prints have the artist's signature inlaid digitally on the front usually in the bottom right or left of the print.

Colorplak Laminated Prints

Another beautiful option for your print is the professional mounting style often referred to as "ColorPlak" or "ColorBox" mounting. We start with a traditional fine art paper (glossy) print made with pigment inks. The print is then professionally dry mounted on a 1/4" thick medium density fiberboard (MDF) and then a special protective matte vinyl laminate is heat-pressed to the print, making it UV (80%), water, glare, and smudge resistant. The wood edges are beveled and trimmed with a black finished edge. As a result of the vinyl lamination process, the prints have vivid, almost radiant, colors!

As with metal prints, you have the options of a “Box Mount” or “Float Mount”. For a Box Mount, the print is mounted seamlessly to a 3/4" thick black box frame resulting in a 1” thick finished product that hangs flush against the wall. For a Float Mount, the print is mounted to a 3/4" thick box frame that is recessed 2" from the edge of the print resulting in the appearance of your print floating in front of the wall. Laminated prints are easy to take care of and you can clean them with a damp soft cotton rag. Print permanence of laminated prints is rated at greater than 100 years for color and greater than 200 years for black & white.  Laminated prints have the artist's signature inlaid digitally on the front usually in the bottom right or left of the print.

Proper Care and Display

We strive to produce the best possible prints available today and hope that you enjoy them for many, many years to come. To enhance your print’s longevity, all prints should be displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Fine art paper prints should be framed as soon as possible to protect the print from physical and UV damage. When you have your print framed, make sure you request UV filtering glass or acrylic and use acid-free (archival) framing materials. Canvas prints can generally be cleaned with a soft dust cloth. Metal and Laminated prints can be gently wiped with a damp, soft cotton cloth. These prints are not designed to be displayed out doors.

Please be advised, however, that some of our images have an upper limit to how large they can be printed and still retain their quality. In order to ensure that only high quality prints are shipped to our customers, we reserve the right to place an upper size limit on any particular image. This usually isn’t a problem as we have printed many of our images at sizes up to 30 x 40” and they look great! If you need a size larger than that, let’s talk. Most likely we can accommodate you!
